If you are attempting to use the built-in camera and instead of seeing yourself onscreen you see an image of blocked camera with a gray background. Do not worry.
This strange little issue appears to be a bug with the Lenovo software; through no intervention from the user the camera has become disabled and needs to be re-enabled. Here is the solution to enable the built-in camera:
- Open the Windows start menu, and type Lenovo until Lenovo Settings appears and open it (if you do not have Lenovo Settings installed you can find it on the Windows App Store).
- Expand the window so that the top icons are displayed and click on CAMERA at the top of the window.
- Scroll to the bottom of the settings page, under PRIVACY MODE change Turn Privacy Mode to Off.
Once you turn the PRIVACY MODE TO "OFF", you will be able to see yourself from the camera.
And you are ready to continue with your Video Interview.
