Is the rating score not adding up?
This article will explain how the analytics view is designed and why the rating might not match the custom evaluation scale applied to an interview.
What is Analytics view?
The analytics view is an easy to interpret visual chart that allows the recruiter to view the evaluation score given to the candidate(s) by the evaluator(s). It consists of a colorized 5 point scale. (https://support.wepow.com/hc/en-us/articles/201921667-How-to-evaluate-candidates#analytics)
Why doesn't the score match the custom evaluation scale?
Our solution normalizes the ratings, from whatever scale the person uses, to a 5 point scale to make it easier to display. Whether you set a 3 point or a 7 point scale, the score will be converted to a 5 point scale.
(article on normalization: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21482329)
What formula is used to normalize the ratings?
We are using a formula like this to do the normalization:
normalized_score =(real_score/max_real_score)* 5
- 1-7 point scale
If candidate received a score of 6
(6/7)* 5 = 4.29
- 1-3 point scale
If candidate received a score of 2
(2/3)* 5 = 3.33
How can I view the scores?
You have 2 options:
- Under "Evaluation" after you filter completed interviews
- If you want the raw results as defined in the custom scale, you can export a .csv file.
Can it be un-normalized?
Not at the moment, not normalizing the data would mean that we would need a dynamic rendering tool.
