Welcome to the WePow Help Center! Today you will learn how to effectively use your tools to evaluate your candidates.
There are several tools you will be able to use to evaluate candidates. Please note that they will be available to you, depending on the level of access you have to the WePow account when performing an evaluation.
Once on your WePow account, start by clicking on a particular interview on your main screen. After gaining access to your candidates’ responses, you will have several evaluation tools available to you.
Rating your Candidates
You will have the ability to classify your candidates’ interviews by choosing from one of the categories on the right side of your screen, including Pending, Approved, Dismissed and Hired. Using this tool will also make it easier for you to email all the candidates that have made it to the next step, to keep them updated as of the progress of their interview.
In addition, you will be able to “vote” for a particular candidate by giving him/her a thumbs up or thumbs down also located on the right side of your screen or by rating each question separately, taking advantage of the rating stars on the lower right corner of this window.
These tools, when combined, will make the evaluation process easier when comparing your candidates’ performances. Remember to use the keyboard shortcuts when navigating from one candidate to the other or when moving to the next question, by taking advantage of our key shortcuts.
Evaluating Candidates’ Performances
When reviewing previous evaluations, you may use the filters located on the left side of your main WePow account screen, to look for those candidates that have been placed into a specific category.
Also, when clicking on the filters on the left side, more information will display on your screen regarding each candidate’s performance. At this point, you will be able to see a column for the evaluation scores, this will give you an average score for all the evaluated questions, plus a column displaying the amount of votes each candidate has. By hovering over each row, you will also see the names of the higher managers that have given a thumbs up or down to each candidate.
In order for you to more effectively identify the performance of each candidate after his/her profile has been reviewed, you can pay attention to the icons on your screen. A good example are the colors. For instance, if a green color displays on my candidate’s profile, it means the candidate has passed to the next step on the hiring process. In contrast, a red color will indicate this candidate has been dismissed from the process, while a yellow star will only display for those candidates that have been already hired.
While going through your candidates’ interviews, you may always take advantage of the multiple filters on your left side to see only a specific category of candidate, as shown below:
In addition to these tools, you will have the Analytics View of your candidates’ responses, this option will give you access to the accumulative scores for each candidate, as well as the individual scores on each question.
Once you access the Analytics View tab, you may hover over each question (marked by its number as Q1, Q2, etc.), and check out the scores for each question from anyone that has evaluated the questions. You may also determine the performance of your candidate, by looking at the average scores on the right side or by simply paying attention to the colors indicated on the bar at the bottom.
Among the icons that you will find on this section, you will see an exclamation mark inside a yellow triangle. This means that, even though some of the reviewers invited to check on this candidate’s responses have given their input, not all of them have done it; therefore, the final score is only partial until all the reviewers have completed the evaluation process.
You may also take advantage of the multiple filters located on your left side, such as the forms filter, and the evaluations filter that will give you access to all the reviewers that have evaluated candidates; by clicking on the reviewer’s name from the filter, it will allow you to see the scores he/she has assessed on each evaluated candidate.
It is important to point out that the score value as seen on the analytics tab will reflect the average of all questions, calculating the value for each one. Please note that if you are either an Admin or an Interviewer, it is possible for you to change the value of each question based on its relevance, for the average to project this. To do so, you may click on the Question Weight option located on the lower left corner of your screen and hit on Modify Weight.
To change the weight, move the sliders for each question accordingly to determine their value, and click on the save button once you are done with this process.
Once you have changed the weights for each question, you will see how the scores will reflect the average for the new values that have been set, and these changes will also be visible for any user with access to the evaluation option, including higher managers.
Finally, you will be able to Export the analytics tab into a CSV file that once downloaded you may open as an Excel sheet on your computer. This file will include all the data from your candidates’ evaluations. Just click on the Export button as shown below to complete this process.
